Sizing

SIZE MATTERS. FIT MATTERS MORE.
And unlike clothes, shoes should FIT EXACTLY RIGHT. Not tight, not loose.
Experts say, wearing ILL FITTING, POORLY DESIGNED shoes over long durations can negatively impact muscle and posture development in kids.
This can result in long term deformities and pain issues when they grow up.

NOT TOO TIGHT
Wearing narrow, pointy, or tight shoes over long durations can result in toes turning inward. Such permanent deformities can harm balance and posture development in kids.

NOT TOO LOOSE
When shoes are loose, kids' have to use their toes and foot muscles to grip the shoes and prevent them from coming off. This extra strain on their muscles interferes with proper movement and growth.

NATURAL SHAPE OF FOOT
The bottom profile of kids' shoes should mimic the natural shape of a child's foot. Select shoes with a wide toe box to give their toes room to wiggle, and a broad profile to give their feet the space to grow.

ADJUSTABLE FIT
Kids need quick and adjustable closures that hold their feet securely, without putting a strain on their muscles. Running out in slippers, ballerinas or clogs is a complete no-no because they do not have adjustable fastening!

Are you confused about what size of shoe to order? Do you know what size your child currently wears? Have you noticed that this sizing number varies across the different shoes and brands that s/he owns?
The trouble is that sizing can vary across brands and across styles too. Hence, it is INCORRECT to select shoes from the sizing table basis the size mentioned on their current shoe.
To get the RIGHT Skoodo size, you can use one of the two ways to measure your child's foot. We recommend you use the Skoodo Size Guide.
You can download / take a print of the Skoodo Size Guide and follow the step by step instructions on it. However please do check the scale of the print before using!
Measure using Skoodo Size Guide

STEPS TO MEASURE
1. Make your child stand on a blank sheet of paper and draw the outline of the foot.
2. Take any scale and measure the length from the heel to the longest toe in centimetres (as shown in the picture above).
3. Use the "cm" scale in the SKOODO SIZE GUIDE or use the SIZE CHART below to find the corresponding shoe in IND/UK or EU.
Super easy!

- Measure in the STANDING position with TOES FULLY SPREAD, else you will under-measure
